You are meant to fight. When you are sick, your body fights for its right to function. When you hold your breath, your body fights for its right to breathe. There are billions of tiny events—from the surface of your skin, down to the very cells of your body—that have to happen in order for you to be simply sitting here today. If your most minuscule parts haven’t given up yet,
Why should you?
I was thinking about this the other day. About how delicate and strong and absolutely amazing our bodies are, because they can regulate temperature and fight disease and grow and remove toxins and breathe, and we don’t even think about it. Our bodies just do. All of the millions of events that take place in our bodies every single minute to keep us alive are just mind boggling and beautiful. We’re beautiful and complex creations.
